Christmas/Travel Special: Armenia’s festive season will officially begin o14 December, when Yerevan’s Christmas tree lights up the city centre and signals the start of one of the most atmospheric periods of the year. The ceremony opens weeks of celebrations leading up to Armenian Christmas on 6 January, a time when the capital takes on a cinematic glow.

Each December, Yerevan transforms into a winter postcard.
