DUBAI, UAE –The Middle East International Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine (MEIDAM) Congress concluded its 11th edition at Dubai World Trade Centre. Organised by the MEIDAM Association and DXB LIVE, the event management and experiential agency of Dubai World Trade Centre, the Congress gathered global delegates and exhibitors over three days, in what organisers described as the most ambitious edition in its history. So ambitious, that the 12th MEIDAM Congress has already been announced to return to Dubai from 14 – 16 October 2027.
More than 3,300 dermatologists, aesthetic physicians, researchers and industry leaders from over 108 countries took part in close to 200 sessions, symposia and lectures across four parallel scientific tracks. The exhibition floor featured 35 companies presenting more than 550 brands. And the Dubai Health Authority accredited the full programme with 73.5 hours of Continuing Medical Education, a clear marker that MEIDAM is a platform for clinical education, not simply a trade gathering.
Notably, Dr. Younis Kazim, CEO of the Public Health & Health Regulation Sector at the Dubai Health Authority, attended as Chief Guest, reflecting the close alignment between MEIDAM’s scientific mission and Dubai’s healthcare agenda.
Longevity takes centre stage
For the first time, Longevity served as a thematic pillar, shaping sessions on regenerative medicine, epigenetics, skin longevity and preventive dermatology. The pillar was chaired by Dr. Abeer AlTeneiji, President of the Emirates Lifestyle & Longevity Medicine Society (ELLMS).

Hands-on training at an advanced level
Three dedicated courses gave delegates practical depth in aesthetic gynaecology, laser medicine and surgical suturing. The Basic & Advanced Laser Course, run with the European Society for Laser Dermatology (ESLD), was led by ESLD President Prof. Ashraf Badawi, Professor of Dermatology & Laser Medicine and Director of the Laser Unit at King Faisal University, offering rare hands-on exposure to advanced technique.
Honouring a pioneer
In one of the Congress’s most moving moments to date, MEIDAM presented its Pioneer Award at the Opening Ceremony to Dr. Khalil Ebrahim AlArayedh, the first Bahraini dermatologist, honouring more than five decades of clinical service, teaching and regional leadership.
“Eleven years ago, MEIDAM began as an idea, and today, it stands as one of the most comprehensive scientific gatherings dermatology and aesthetic medicine has to offer anywhere in the region,” said Dr. Khaled Al Nuaimi, President of MEIDAM Congress and the MEIDAM Association. “The scale of what we delivered this year, across every track and every session, reflects not just the ambition of our specialty, but the trust our community continues to place in Dubai as the home for that ambition. As we close this chapter, we do so already looking ahead to an even bigger decade for MEIDAM.”
MEIDAM thanks Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) for a strategic partnership that continues to drive the Congress’s growth, along with its sponsors, exhibitors, faculty and academic partners across the region and beyond.
