From the Sources: The United Arab Emirates has issued a firm and unprecedented statement on its defence posture amid rising regional tensions, signalling that no weapon — whether missile, drone, or other form of attack — will be allowed to compromise the country’s security or sovereignty.

In official remarks made by government representatives, the UAE reaffirmed that its air defences and military systems are fully capable of detecting and neutralising threats, and that every effort will be made to protect the nation’s people, residents, and territory. Emirati authorities stressed that their defence readiness remains strong and prepared to counter any hostile attempt.

The declaration came in response to a wave of repeated strikes launched by Iranian forces in the wider Middle East conflict. Since late February, the UAE has faced sustained Iranian drone and missile attacks, some of which have been intercepted before causing harm. Local officials highlighted that the country’s air defence systems have successfully intercepted hundreds of aerial threats with high precision, ensuring that most weapons do not reach their intended targets.

Although a small number of projectile fragments and debris have fallen inside the UAE, causing property damage and a few civilian casualties, authorities emphasised that the nation’s defence networks have largely held firm. The leadership described this as proof that no weapon can undermine the UAE’s territorial integrity.

At the same time, the UAE reiterated that it has adhered to a neutral and defensive stance, insisting it is not a participant in the conflict and has not permitted its land, airspace, or waters to be used against any other country. The government also called on all parties to pursue dialogue and diplomacy to ease tensions and avoid further escalation.

This bold declaration reflects a dual message: while the UAE seeks peace and stability, it will not tolerate attacks or threats to its people and infrastructure. The emphasis on robust defence capability serves as a clear warning that any aggression against the UAE will be confronted decisively.
