India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a historic two-day official visit to Israel (Feb 25–26, 2026) at the invitation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, marking only the second state visit by an Indian premier to the country. Upon landing in Jerusalem, Modi received a ceremonial welcome and held talks with Netanyahu before delivering a special address to the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) — becoming the first Indian prime minister to speak there. In his speech, Modi reaffirmed India’s firm stance against terrorism, expressed solidarity with Israel following past unfortunate incidents, and highlighted the deepening strategic and security cooperation between the two nations.

The itinerary also includes meetings with President Isaac Herzog, discussions on defence, technology and trade collaborations, and the signing of new bilateral agreements, reflecting the growing multi-faceted relationship between India and Israel.
