Dubai, UAE- Crafted in England by sculptor and Yeoman Basketmaker Eddie Glew, JW ANDERSON introduces a series of four baskets: the Blanket Basket, the Log Basket, the Laundry Basket and the Basket Bag.
Each basket is handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations, as narrated by art historian Dr James Fox in a video documenting Eddie’s process. Woven from the finest British willow, the designs draw on medieval storage chests, reflected in their structure and detailing.

During Salone del Mobile, Eddie will host a live demonstration at the JW ANDERSON Flagship Store Milan, using only a shave horse, draw knife, and his hands to carve flowers from a single piece of wood. Guests will receive a unique handcrafted flower, with textures shaped naturally by the material, presented with protective packaging and an informational postcard.
The flowers Eddie will create with JW ANDERSON are one of the first pieces he learned to make from his father. They extend from a Romany tradition in which flowers are crafted from hedgerow using only a pocketknife. A piece of pure craftsmanship: hands shaping nature into art.

As narrated by art historian Dr James Fox, each basket is handmade in England, with a dedication to preserving traditional techniques, materials and forms. Woven from the finest British willow, a craft passed down through generations.
