Dubai, UAE – Majra – National CSR Fund, in collaboration with Pupilar, Careem, the community contributor Passive Blessings Community and a number of UAE homegrown businesses, has launched the “A Day in a Captain’s Life” initiative, reflecting the power of Cross-sector Partnerships in transforming Corporate Social Responsibility into Impact in Practice, while recognising the individuals who contribute daily to supporting the economy, serving communities, and enhancing quality of life across the UAE.

The initiative brought together organisations from different sectors around a Shared Purpose: recognising delivery captains who form an essential part of the UAE’s daily services ecosystem. A total of 300 top-performing captains were recognised based on performance, consistency, and commitment, and were provided with a curated range of complimentary experiences and services spanning wellness, healthcare, grooming, automotive care, and hospitality.

The initiative comes at a time when the importance of building community partnerships capable of delivering Sustainable Impact and Measurable Impact continues to grow, aligning with the UAE’s vision of advancing the Impact Economy and strengthening private sector contributions to sustainable development.

Sarah Shaw, CEO of Majra – National CSR Fund, said: “This initiative reflects the UAE’s vision of building a society founded on appreciation, partnership, and shared responsibility. Sustainable Impact begins when organisations come together around a purpose that serves people and communities, transforming commitment into tangible outcomes that individuals can experience in their everyday lives.”

She added: “At Majra, we work to enable initiatives that demonstrate how Corporate Social Responsibility can serve as a strategic driver of the Impact Economy. ‘A Day in a Captain’s Life’ is an inspiring example of how Cross-sector Partnerships can create Credible Impact, Sustainable Impact, and Measurable Impact that deliver tangible outcomes for communities. Such initiatives reinforce the role of the private sector in supporting national priorities while creating lasting positive change.”

Shaw further noted that the initiative shines a spotlight on a segment that plays a vital role in supporting economic activity and facilitating daily life, adding that recognising such contributions strengthens a culture of giving, belonging, and social responsibility while supporting the development of an integrated Sustainable Impact Ecosystem.

Maimuna Rashid, Co-founder of Pupilar, said: “Dubai is built on the contributions of people across every sector. Delivery captains are part of the human fabric of this city. Through this initiative, we wanted to express our gratitude in a way that is genuine and meaningful, recognising the efforts they make every day to keep communities connected.”

Adeeb Warsi, Chief Operating Officer at Careem, said: “Our Captains are at the heart of everything we do. This initiative provides an opportunity to celebrate the dedication and commitment they demonstrate every day, and we are proud to contribute to recognising their invaluable role in serving communities.”

The initiative saw the participation of several UAE homegrown businesses that dedicated their services and products to supporting delivery captains, demonstrating the growing role of the private sector in Co-creating National Impact.

Blade Barbers provided complimentary premium grooming services, while BlueVerse offered advanced bike washing services to help captains maintain the vehicles they rely on every day.

Almarao Hub served warm Emirati-inspired meals reflecting local hospitality and cultural identity, while Moe’s Gents Salon provided premium relaxation and grooming treatments, offering participants an opportunity to recharge.

On the healthcare front, Nabta Health Clinic delivered a comprehensive preventative health package that included biomarker blood testing, body composition analysis, health assessments, medical consultations, and personalised health reports. Meanwhile, Health Choice distributed wellness kits containing protein bars, healthy snacks, sunblock, shampoo, hot water bags, and first aid essentials.

Passive Blessings played a key role in enabling the initiative and expanding its reach throughout the campaign, helping ensure that services were extended to all participating captains.

As an extension of the initiative’s community impact, participating businesses also announced exclusive offers and discounts for UAE community members, encouraging greater public engagement while supporting the homegrown businesses behind the campaign.

“A Day in a Captain’s Life” stands as a practical example of how organisations can turn values into impact, transform partnerships into tangible outcomes, and contribute to Co-creating National Impact that supports the UAE’s sustainable development priorities. The initiative reinforces the role of Corporate Social Responsibility as a catalyst for Sustainable Impact and demonstrates how collaboration can create meaningful value for individuals, communities, and future generations.
