Dubai, UAE- (SOURCES) The UAE has officially confirmed the Eid Al Fitr 2026 holiday schedule for federal government employees and other public sector staff. The Eid Al Fitr break for the public sector will start on Thursday, 19 March 2026 and continue through Sunday, 22 March 2026. Government offices, ministries and federal institutions will resume normal working hours on Monday, 23 March 2026.

For private sector employees, the holiday will run from 19 March to 21 March 2026, with the possibility of extending the leave to 22 March if the holy month of Ramadan lasts the full 30 days — a decision that depends on the official moon sighting near the end of Ramadan.

This announcement gives workers and residents across the UAE clarity to plan travel, family time and festive activities for one of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar.
