United Nations Headquarters, New York: On 25 June 2026, the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations, in partnership with the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic, convened a high-level side event at UN Headquarters in New York under the theme: “Artificial Intelligence for All: How Small Nations Are Becoming AI Powerhouses Through Global Cooperation.”
The event introduced the SNAP initiative — Small Nations AI Powerhouses — an international platform designed to unite small states, technology communities, developers, and partners in advancing a more inclusive approach to artificial intelligence development.
Participants explored practical pathways for strengthening national AI ecosystems, including the development of open language datasets, the application of text-to-speech and speech-to-text technologies, and the creation of conditions for broader integration of local languages into modern AI systems.

The dialogue resulted in the identification of priority areas for future cooperation: building international partnerships, exchanging practical expertise, and supporting the development of local language resources.
The event underscored the importance of small states’ active participation in shaping the global artificial intelligence agenda. The Kyrgyz Republic reaffirmed its commitment to promoting digital inclusion, preserving linguistic and cultural diversity, and ensuring equitable access to the benefits of artificial intelligence.
