Dubai, UAE- Continuing the success of the citywide Win Your Home in Dubai initiative, a brand-new studio apartment has been awarded to its fifth winner, Swathy Santhosh, an Indian expat from Kerala, marking a life-changing moment as she looks forward to reuniting with her loved ones in the UAE.

Currently living and working in Abu Dhabi as a customer service agent, Swathy first discovered the UAE when she visited Dubai to spend time with her cousins, who were already living there. Inspired by the city and the opportunities it offered, she decided to make the UAE her home and later secured a job in Abu Dhabi.

Having moved to the UAE almost a year ago on her own in search of a more stable future, Swathy has been working towards her dream of bringing her husband and parents to join her. She got married last year and moved to the UAE just one month later, taking a brave step towards creating a better life for her family.

After learning that her friend was travelling back to India soon, she planned a weekend in Dubai to shop for a gift for her mother. During her visit to Mall of the Emirates, she noticed the Win Your Home in Dubai campaign throughout the mall and decided to participate without expecting anything in return. She was delighted when she bought herself a new pair of shoes and a lovely handbag from Call It Spring, not realising that these items would help make her dreams come true.

Swathy could not believe it when she received the call from the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) team informing her she had won. She immediately called her husband, who shared her excitement and happiness over the unexpected life-changing win.

“When I received the call, I was completely shocked. I couldn’t believe that I had won a home in Dubai. I called my husband immediately, and he was so happy and excited! I came to the UAE alone because I wanted to create a better future for myself and my family, and winning a home in Dubai is more than a dream come true,” Swathy said. “I don’t know yet what my plans are for the apartment, but I am grateful and excited for this new chapter. All I think about is reuniting with my husband and my parents,” she added.

The Win Your Home in Dubai initiative, jointly led by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and Dubai Chambers, offers shoppers the opportunity to win one of 12 Binghatti Developers residential units across Dubai.

The next weekly draws will take place on 26 July, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 August, hosted at Dubai Festival City Mall. Each remaining weekly draw will award one studio apartment, while the final draw on 30 August will award the grand prize of a two-bedroom apartment.

Running until 30 August 2026, Win Your Home in Dubai continues to give residents and visitors more reasons to shop and explore Dubai’s retail destinations this summer. Eligible residents and visitors aged 18 and above can enter for a chance to win an apartment by simply spending AED 500 at any of the 1,000+ participating brands across more than 3,500 retail outlets in Dubai. To validate their entry, shoppers can scan the QR code on official campaign materials at participating locations and upload their receipt.
