Dubai, UAE — What happens when the lights go down, the music gets louder and familiar movie characters take on a darker personality? For two nights, MOTIONGATE Dubai transformed its Hollywood-inspired world into a Halloween celebration where fear and entertainment shared the spotlight.
On October 30 and 31, Fright Nights: The Party returned for its second year, inviting visitors to experience a different side of the theme park. With selected rides operating until 11 PM, live DJ music and Halloween-themed entertainment, the event offered an alternative to Dubai’s usual evening outings.

A Different Kind of Nightlife
Dubai is known for its glamorous restaurants, rooftop lounges and vibrant entertainment scene. But Halloween brought something different: an evening where visitors could exchange the traditional night out for roller coasters, theatrical scares and live DJ beats.
The idea was simple: keep the excitement going after sunset and allow guests to experience the park in a completely different atmosphere. For thrill seekers, darkness added another dimension to the rides. For groups of friends, music, parades and themed entertainment offered reasons to stay beyond the attractions themselves.

Would You Dare Enter The Infected?
At the centre of the Halloween programme was The Infected, an interactive scare maze in the Lionsgate zone. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the attraction challenged visitors to navigate unsettling corridors filled with unexpected encounters and frightening surprises.
The experience placed visitors inside the story, where every corner held the possibility of another scare. It was designed for those who enjoy testing their courage, especially alongside friends who might be just as frightened.
The Addams Family Joins the Celebration
Halloween would hardly feel complete without a little dark humour. Adding a theatrical touch, The Addams Family Musical featured an additional performance during the late-night celebrations. The famous fictional family brought a playful contrast to the more intense attractions.
Elsewhere, Halloween parades and character meet-and-greets added to the atmosphere, creating opportunities for surprise, laughter and memorable photographs.
Beyond the Scares: Dubai’s Changing Entertainment Scene
What makes experiences like Fright Nights interesting is how they reflect the changing ways people enjoy Dubai. Theme parks are no longer simply daytime destinations for families and tourists. Special evening programmes give visitors new reasons to return, combining storytelling, music, theatre and adventure in one setting.
And perhaps that is the real appeal of Halloween at MOTIONGATE Dubai. It is not only about being frightened. It is about stepping outside the ordinary, laughing with friends and seeing a familiar destination in a new light — or, in this case, after dark.

More Than Just a Halloween Party
As the Halloween weekend came to an end, Fright Nights offered a reminder that some of the most memorable outings bring together a little adventure, imagination and just enough fear to make everyone laugh afterwards.
Whether visitors came for the roller coasters, the music, the performances or the challenge of entering The Infected, the two-night event brought different forms of entertainment together under one Halloween theme. In a city where there is always something new to discover, even a familiar theme park can reveal another personality after dark.
