Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) Dubai Campus successfully hosted its Career Expo 2026, bringing together leading employers, industry professionals, and students for two days of recruitment, networking, and career-focused engagement aimed at strengthening industry-academia collaboration and preparing students for the evolving future of work.

The event witnessed participation from over 70 companies across sectors including business management, finance, engineering, information technology, AI, cybersecurity, architecture, media, healthcare, logistics, and biotechnology, reflecting growing employer demand for graduates equipped with both technical expertise and adaptable professional skillsets.

According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report 2025, nearly 40% of workers’ core skills are expected to change by 2030, with employers increasingly prioritising analytical thinking, technological literacy, communication skills, adaptability, and continuous learning. Against this backdrop, initiatives such as MAHE Dubai’s Career Expo are becoming increasingly important in helping students bridge academic learning with industry expectations.

The expo received 793 student pre-registrations, with approximately 704 student participations recorded across the two-day event. Students engaged directly with recruiters through networking opportunities, career discussions, and on-site interviews across a wide range of disciplines. The event facilitated a total of 1200 interviews across both days, with strong participation from students representing the School of Business and the School of Engineering and Information Technology.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr Roma Raina, Head of Corporate Alliances and Partnerships at Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai, said, “The Career Expo reflects MAHE Dubai’s continued commitment to building meaningful connections between academia and industry. Beyond placements, the initiative creates opportunities for students to understand evolving workforce expectations, engage directly with employers, and develop the confidence and professional readiness required in today’s dynamic job market.”

Participating organisations included leading regional and international companies such as Barakat, Tally Solutions, AGAYA Healthcare, Gates Engineering & Services FZCO, Union Coop, Torrecid Middle East (FZE), Expeditors, Innovations Group, Nikken Sekkei FZ-LLC, among others.

Recruiters highlighted growing demand for graduates who combine academic knowledge with communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, digital literacy, and workplace adaptability. Companies also emphasised the increasing importance of hybrid skillsets as industries continue to integrate AI, automation, and digital transformation into everyday operations.

In addition to recruitment opportunities, the expo also highlighted the university’s broader employability initiatives, including internships, industry collaborations, AI and fintech labs, media production studios, certification programmes, mock interviews, networking opportunities, and practical learning environments designed to strengthen workplace readiness.

MAHE Dubai views the Career Expo as a strategic platform that contributes toward building a stronger talent ecosystem by enabling meaningful collaboration between students, employers, and academia while supporting the development of globally competent, future-ready professionals.
