Dubai, UAE – As part of its efforts to empower children of determination and enhance their readiness to integrate into the educational environment, the Dubai Child Development Centre, affiliated with the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai, is organizing the “School Preparation and Readiness” sessions in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture). The sessions aim to prepare children for their transition to school and nursery with confidence and independence, while supporting their families throughout this important stage.
The sessions are designed for children of determination enrolled at the Centre and are held at Al Safa and Al Rashidiya Libraries. They provide individualised plans tailored to each child’s needs and abilities, focusing on developing academic, educational, social and communication skills, as well as essential life skills, while engaging parents in supporting their children’s educational journey.

The programme reflects CDA’s approach to leading an integrated social ecosystem through flexible and proactive services that respond to the needs of children and their families. It also highlights the importance of collaboration with relevant entities to enhance quality of life and achieve sustainable social impact, in line with the objectives of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33” and CDA’s vision of Pioneering and sustainable development for a thriving community.
Dr Sheikha Al Mansoori, Acting Director of the Department of People of Determination at the Community Development Authority in Dubai, said that school readiness represents a pivotal stage in a child’s development, noting that providing a supportive environment from the early stages helps build confidence, develop abilities and prepare children for positive integration into the educational environment and wider community.

Al Mansouri added: “We believe that empowering children of determination begins with responding to their individual needs through specialised services and effective partnerships that provide equal opportunities for learning and participation. These sessions reflect CDA’s commitment to supporting children and their families, enhancing their readiness to transition into the educational environment with confidence and independence, and ultimately contributing to their quality of life.”

The sessions form part of CDA’s ongoing efforts to develop impactful initiatives that strengthen strategic partnerships and inter-agency collaboration, while creating supportive environments that enable children to develop their abilities and participate actively in society. These efforts reflect Dubai’s vision of building a more inclusive, cohesive and prosperous society.
