E.R SPECIAL: Global Maestro A.R. Rahman Composes UAE Tribute Song “Jamal Al Etihad” Ahead of 54th National Day

Oscar-winning composer A. R. Rahman has composed “Jamal Al Etihad” (“Beauty of the Union”), a special anthem celebrating the UAE’s unity, multicultural spirit, and progress, ahead of the 54th National Day (Eid Al Etihad 2025). The song, commissioned by Burjeel Holdings, premiered on 29 November 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi, featuring live performances, cultural displays, and fireworks. Rahman described the composition as a tribute to the UAE’s citizens and expatriates, reflecting values of hope, coexistence, and shared humanity, and making it accessible globally through its English lyrics. “Jamal Al Etihad” is intended not only as a celebration of the nation’s heritage and achievements but also as a unifying anthem recognizing everyone who contributes to the UAE’s journey, symbolizing the country’s openness, diversity, and ambition on a worldwide stage.
