Abu Dhabi, UAE- The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) has announced the ending of the 2026 camel grazing season today, 15 October. The annual grazing ban will take effect on 16 October 2026 and remain in place until 14 May 2027.
The grazing ban allows natural rangelands to recover and native vegetation to regenerate, helping protect biodiversity and preserve the emirate’s desert ecosystems.
EAD emphasised the importance of complying with the grazing ban to ensure the long-term sustainability of natural rangelands. The Agency also expressed its appreciation to camel owners and breeders for their cooperation and adherence to environmental requirements throughout the season, and for their commitment to protecting native vegetation and natural resources across Abu Dhabi.
