Dubai, UAE- Global Village, one of the UAE’s most popular destinations for family entertainment, international shopping, dining and cultural experiences, opens its 31st season today, October 14, 2026, welcoming visitors to a new season of attractions and entertainment under the theme “A More Wonderful World”. The destination will remain open until May 2027, offering residents and tourists opportunities to explore traditions, food, performances and products from different parts of the world.

Season 31 builds on Global Village’s three decades of bringing different cultures together in Dubai. The destination has announced a wide range of experiences for families, young visitors and tourists, with new attractions joining its established pavilions, restaurants, shopping outlets and live performances.

One of the major highlights of the new season is its collection of 29 pavilions representing more than 90 cultures. Visitors can explore international products, traditional crafts, local specialities, clothing and food while discovering the customs and identities of participating countries and regions.

Three new pavilion experiences feature Jordan, Iraq, and Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. These additions provide further opportunities for visitors to discover regional heritage, browse traditional products and enjoy authentic flavours. The pavilions remain a central part of Global Village’s appeal, allowing guests to experience a variety of cultures within one destination in Dubai

Shopping remains another major attraction, with more than 3,500 outlets offering products from different countries. Visitors can also choose from more than 250 dining options, including international restaurants and street food outlets, creating opportunities to sample different cuisines during a single visit.

Fernando Eiroa, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Entertainment, said, “Global Village holds a special place in people’s lives because of the connections they make here, with their own roots, with other cultures and the people they visit alongside. It has become a much-loved tradition for families and friends, reflecting the welcoming, multicultural spirit of the UAE.” Source: WAM

Season 31 introduces new attractions designed to add excitement to the visitor experience. One of the additions is Tokyo Rush, a new roller coaster that brings another option for guests seeking amusement rides and high energy entertainment.

The season also features new anchor shows, including Bollywood Idol, alongside returning performances and entertainment from different cultures. Children and families can look forward to experiences designed for younger visitors, including a children’s passport concept that encourages them to explore the destination and engage with its different cultural offerings.

According to published reports, the season is expected to feature more than 200 attractions and approximately 40,000 shows. This extensive programme gives visitors a variety of options, from stage performances and cultural presentations to rides, family activities and international entertainment.

The opening day will also feature special celebrations. These include a drone show involving more than 600 drones, a choir performance, the Parade of the World and a confetti welcome at the Gate of the World. The opening celebrations are designed to create a festive atmosphere as visitors enter the destination for the first time this season.

Global Village’s published schedule lists operating hours from 4pm to midnight from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 4pm to 1am on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays. Tuesdays are reserved for families, couples and ladies, except when they fall on an official public holiday. The opening day has been announced for 6pm.

Visitors can check ticket options, current attractions, entertainment schedules and other practical information through the official Global Village website before planning their visit. Those travelling with children may benefit from planning their route in advance, as the destination offers a wide range of activities, shopping areas, dining options and performances.

Global Village continues to play an important role in Dubai’s seasonal entertainment calendar by bringing international cultures together in a shared public space. With new pavilions, additional rides, live shows and food experiences, Season 31 offers residents and visitors another opportunity to explore the world without leaving the UAE.

As the new season begins, the destination’s combination of cultural discovery, entertainment, shopping and dining is expected to remain a major attraction for families and tourists throughout the cooler months and into spring 2027.
