Dubai, UAE– The Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai, in collaboration with Dubai Foundation for Community Contributions “Jood”, hosted the third meeting of the Social Responsibility Committee in the Emirate of Dubai for 2026 at Thukher Club – Al Safa. The Committee operates under the National CSR Fund “Majra” and under the supervision of Dubai Chambers.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cross-sector collaboration and direct resources and expertise towards community priorities and needs, contributing to quality of life, empowerment and community participation, while supporting the objectives of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33”.
The meeting reflects a broader approach to strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable social impact by moving beyond individual contributions towards more integrated use of capabilities, expertise and resources, aligned with the needs and priorities of the community.
From needs to impact
The meeting included a field visit to Thukher Club – Al Safa, where participants were briefed on the services and programmes dedicated to senior citizens, as well as opportunities to further develop them. The visit helped identify areas of collaboration and opportunities to leverage private-sector resources and expertise to enhance service quality and strengthen their impact on the lives of senior citizens.
This approach reflects a focus on understanding the actual needs of community members when identifying partnership opportunities, helping direct resources and capabilities towards initiatives with tangible impact, while enhancing the sustainability of social programmes and services.
As part of efforts to strengthen the Committee’s effectiveness, Dubai Chambers presented updates on its work and third-quarter performance indicators, along with the next steps. This supports the alignment of the Committee’s efforts with clear priorities, enables the measurement of impact, and helps develop partnerships that respond to evolving community needs.
Partnerships rooted in community needs
Sheikha Al Jarman, CEO of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, said that strengthening integration across sectors is an important enabler for developing more sustainable social solutions that respond effectively to the needs of community members.

Al Jarman added that developing sustainable community partnerships expands participation in social development and strengthens the ecosystem’s ability to respond to the evolving needs of the community.

The Committee comprises the Community Development Authority, National CSR Fund “Majra”, Dubai Police, Dubai Chambers, DP World, Mashreq Bank, Dulsco Group, Majid Al Futtaim Group, The Dubai Community Contributions Establishment “Jood”, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.
