ABU DHABI, UAE, 2026 (WAM) – Global leaders, researchers, educators, and innovators gathered in Abu Dhabi today for the IV International Autism Conference 2026 to tackle autism challenges and explore practical, cross-sector solutions.

The conference got underway today with the participation of more than 3,000 specialists from over 25 countries, reflecting a firm commitment to developing an integrated and inclusive system to empower People of Determination and to advance international efforts in the field of autism spectrum disorder.

With 80+ sessions, interactive workshops, and thematic exhibition zones, the four-day event is the world’s leading platform connecting the autism ecosystem—from health and education to AI, employment, and community integration.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Authority for People of Determination, under theme ”Advancing Autism Care Through Al and Innovation”, the event emphasises the critical role of innovation and artificial intelligence in enhancing services tailored for individuals with autism.

Hosting the IV International Autism Conference 2026 embodies the UAE’s commitment to caring for all segments of society, especially people of determination, by promoting global cooperation, sharing knowledge, and exploring innovative ways to improve care and inclusion for children and adults with autism worldwide and building a fully inclusive society for people with autism.

The conference embodies an advanced UAE vision based on innovation, the use of artificial intelligence, and the building of high-quality international partnerships that contribute to enhancing services and care in line with global best practices.

Participants along with international experts, specialists and decision-makers will engage in workshops, roundtables, and networking sessions to exchange knowledge and foster actionable collaborations.

Since its first edition in 2023, the International Autism Conference has witnessed rapid growth, becoming one of the leading global specialized platforms in the field of autism spectrum disorder. Through its successive editions, it has contributed to enhancing scientific knowledge, exchanging expertise, and building high-quality partnerships that support the development of services provided to individuals with autism and their families.

This year’s edition focuses on expanding the use of artificial intelligence in diagnosis and rehabilitation, launching advanced training programmes, and strengthening international partnerships to develop more efficient and sustainable services.

The organising committee said the event aims to unify the efforts of experts from various disciplines to exchange knowledge, enhance scientific research, and support innovative solutions across six main pillars: artificial intelligence and innovation, scientific research, social inclusion, inclusive work environments, excellence in healthcare, and the development of inclusive education.

The committee explained that the UAE’s adoption of artificial intelligence and innovation within its national strategies reflects its awareness of the transformative potential of these technologies in advancing autism care—through enabling personalized interventions and fostering inclusive environments that support individuals and empower them to thrive. It also noted that the conference aligns with the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of the Family,” emphasising the central role of families in supporting individuals with autism.

The fourth edition of the conference is expected to attract a distinguished group of international experts and speakers. It will also include the launch of specialized initiatives and training programs, in addition to expanding the innovation and technology solutions exhibition.

As the IV International Autism Conference 2026 brings together the full spectrum of stakeholders committed to building inclusive solutions, exhibitors have the unique opportunity to showcase innovations, foster partnerships, and create tangible change across multiple domains. They can demonstrate their cutting-edge technologies, products and services that improve the daily lives of autistic individuals and their families.
