Empowered Women, Stronger UAE

Dubai, UAE- Every time the UAE flag rises at an international sporting event, it tells a story of dedication, discipline and national pride. This week at the 10th Jiu Jitsu Asian Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan, that story was written once again by the remarkable women of the UAE.

The outstanding performances of Asma Al Hosani, Shamma Al Kalbani, Alaonod Alharbi, Hamda Alshkeili, Balqees Abdullah and Hessa Al Shamsi deserve appreciation from every citizen and resident of the UAE. Together they helped the nation add six more medals, including two gold medals, strengthening the UAE’s position among the best teams in Asia.
