Dubai, UAE- There are launches, and then there are moments. What Indian Women in Dubai created at the Consulate General of India, Dubai, with the presentation of Women of Wonder Season 2, was unmistakably the latter.
In a celebration of inspiring women and their extraordinary journeys, Indian Women in Dubai (IWD) proudly presented its flagship coffee table book, Women of Wonder Season 2, at one of the most symbolically significant venues available to the Indian community in the UAE. More than a book presentation, the gathering was a formal acknowledgement that the stories of Indian women living and building abroad belong not just in community circles but in the rooms where history is recorded.
The special event brought together the remarkable women featured in the publication, each of whose stories of courage, resilience, creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurship have made a lasting impact on the community they call home.
To call Women of Wonder Season 2 a coffee table book is to undersell it. Each of its fifteen profiles is a carefully written, personally approved biography of a woman who has built something extraordinary in the UAE. Together, the fifteen chapters form a document that is as much cultural record as it is celebration.

The gathering at the Consulate reinforced precisely that spirit. The occasion was further enriched by the presence of Ankita Wakekar, Consul at the Consulate General of India, Dubai, whose attendance reflected a shared institutional commitment to celebrating women’s achievements and leadership. The Women of Wonder series was conceived as a living document. Season 1 established the format and the intent. Season 2 raised the standard and the stakes. The presentation at the Consulate General of India represents yet another chapter in a story that is clearly far from finished.
